Unique ID number

Rob

I know that MS left this out of Project Server 2007 for some odd reason but
is there any way that the Unique ID from Project Pro be copied and displayed
within PWA?
For example I should be able to get a Number or Text Field to = Unique ID
and then display right? Any thoughts?

Hi Rob, where abouts in PWA do you want this, the My Tasks page or Project
Centre?

Ben,
I want this to show up within the different views inside Project Center. Our
project team has a project that changes (well it changed since typing this)
allot and as such makes it difficult for everyone to stay in sync with out
UID.

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,
Create an Enterprice Custom Field called Unique_ID and make it equal to
[Unique ID]. This is then available in the project views. You can also add
the Unique ID field (the original one) in the the My Assignments views. A
combination of these two (identical) fields should solve your requirements.

Ben,
I have tried this method and have had no luck.

I created a column called Unique_ID in Project Pro
Sent it to Enterprise via Project Pro successfully
Add column to PWA view and then published and backed out of Project Pro.

Column shows up but with no numbers.

Any suggestions.
