Running Oofice Professional SP2 fully patch on Windows XP. The machine is
used by several users and just one (1) user is experiencing this issue.
Randomly (yes no pattern discernable over about 100 instances), when
manually spell checking an email, Outlook will simply "eternally process" the
spell check. It has ran overnight one time. Cancelling the process sends a
"Hangapp" error on outlook. This only happens for this one user. And we
recently found out it happens to the user on different machines (although the
machines are 99.9% identical installs).
We have deleted custom dictionaries, compacted and repaired, re-installed,
still the Outlook App randomly hangs about 20% of the time when spell
checking an email, which is a pretty large work stoppage.
Anyone have any ideas why a user would experience this accross different
machines?
