UNISYS Enterprise Output Manager and Outlook 2007

I am using UNISYS Enterprise Output Manager (EOM) and Outlook 2007 on a
Windows XP (SP3) machine. I am trying to get EOM to forward emails received
from off-site through Outlook. These messages require encryption and digital
signatures. When I compose a message manually, attach a file (encryption and
digital signing are set to "on" by default) and click "send" the file gets
digitally signed and the attachment is encrypted on the other (receiver) end.
Those emails processed through Enterprise Output Manager get forwarded OK,
but they are not being encrypted or digitally signed.

What could be causing this? And how do I fix it? Please help!!

So when the e-mail gets sent, it is digitally signed and encrypted.
Since that is what you wanted, what is your question? Outlook is doing
its job okay. It appears your problem is with EOM which doesn't do its
*own* encryption when forwarding an e-mail. Does EOM even run as an
add-on to Outlook? If not (i.e., it is an outside proxy or mail traffic
handler) than there's nothing Outlook can do about how an outside
program manages its mail traffic. If EOM is some external program then
Outlook isn't even an issue with your problem. Outlook can't control
what some separate e-mail program is doing with your e-mails. From
EOM's description at:

there is no mention of Outlook. If Outlook isn't involved at all, why
ask about it? It's not part of your e-mail setup for forwarding.

A sender doesn't need to encrypt their own files on their own host as
regards e-mail. You encrypt e-mails to prevent an unwanted intruder
from peeking at them. If you want files on your own host encrypted then
that is a different security concern than protecting content that is
transmitted over a shared wire.

Even if you forget the password for the encrypted PST file, you can
still decrypt it by using Advanced Outlook Repair. Advanced Outlook
Repair can decrypt all the encrypted data and convert it into a new
PST file that doesn't require a password. You can visit
