A
Ant
Hello,
I was updating my father's old Dell Optiplex Windows 2000 SP4 machine
today with updates for Windows, Office, SAV, etc. I installed the OGA
ActiveX controls in IE6.0 SP1 and it told me OGA failed the check (see
below for the copy and paste).
Here's the catch. This computer was given to him (lucky!!) by the
university/school when he retired/resigned a few years ago (in 2003
probably based of Office version). I don't know how the IT department
installed his OS (not OEM), software, etc. and if they ever had to
activate them. I am pretty sure this is a legit copy since why would a
school install an invalid one?
Is there a fix for this? I did not see any ways to activate again, but
is it wise to do that since MS might kill it if it is not valid (don't
have the original CDs/DVDs)?
Thank you in advance.
