Unknown Error on Enterprise Custom Field 2007

Hello,
Each time I'm trying to save a new custom field with a lookup table in PWA
2007, I get the error messsage :
"The custom field could not be saved due to the following reason(s): An
unknown error has occured"
What could be the problem?

After several trials, it seems that the problem comes from the parenthesis
( ) that the system added besides the name of the field.
