Unknown Error while accepting Task Changes after Self Assignment

I am getting UNKNOWN ERROR with Project Server 2003 while accepting
Task Updates. In some cases Managers are not be able to Reject/Accept
Task Updates if that Task is either created by a Resource or Assigned
by a Resource to himself.

I can save a Local copy of a Project and Import it back on the Project
Server, but this is not an effective solution. Is there any fix to
this problem?

This issue has become critical. Help would be appreciated.

Is this Issue resolved in Project Server 2007

I'm not that this is an issue. I've certainly not come across it in 2007.

Have you deployed the latest Service Packs PS, WSS & SQL?

To get some detailed error information download/install the SetTracing
Utility and raise the logging to verbose

Post any additional error information gained from the log files produced.
