unknown problem

hello

recently, I cannot open the created table through design
view or whatever view. when I double clicked on the
table, the error message will show "unknown". or if I
click on MSysCompactError, Access will ask me to send
error report and restart the application. The only thing
that I was able to do in access is create table only, but
I cannot open or view it after the tables are created
Can someone please help me to solve it? thank you

Try creating a new database and importing your table (don't import any of
the Msys tables.

I had the exact same problem with Access XP SP3. This is
what I did to resolve the issue. First, I uninstalled
Office, then I reinstalled. After opening Access I
received this error "Workgroup administrator couldn't
create the workgroup information file. Make sure that you
have specified a valid path and file name, that you have
adequate permissions to create the file, and that you
have enough disk space on the destination drive." Second,
I used the folowing microsoft knowledge base artice to
correctly register Msjtes40.dll --- Microsoft Knowledge
Base Article - 317708

I have not reinstalled SP3. Hope it still works
afterwords.
