Unknown Resource The name you entered is invalid

My server is PS2007 (did not upgrade yet to ps1)
I have a live project, resources are updating daily My Task and submitting
their hours of work, also the timesheet is submitted at end of week. So every
thing is going fine until I needed to add a new resource to a task so I
received this message:

Unknown Resource
The name you entered is invalid.
The name must be an enterprise resource assigned to this project, or the
project owner.

I tried to add different resources, the same problem occures and I am not
able to add a new resource. please any info on this

Yes from project proffesional 2007, I tried first adding resource to the
task and then tried from Tools\Assign Resource Both failed with same error,
also I checked all the enterprise resources to see if they need a Force
Check-in.
