Unlimited text in form/document

Our office uses a document where we'd like to be able to choose an item from
a "drop down box", for example, "Revenue", "Income" or "Cash" , and a
specific sentence(s) (not just a word) related to that choice would be
inserted into the document. 1) Can it be done? 2) Best way to do it - using
a form, insert fields, etc.?
