unlock form

Hi,

I am using Word 2000. I have a form with radio buttons and tick boxes.
I pressed the padlock to lock the form, but after I saved it, closed i
down and opened it again it remains locked with all the form tool
greyed out. It won't even let me 'select all' to copy it. I can't d
anything with it.

Does anyone know why this happened and how I can unlock this - it'
driving me mad!!

Radio buttons are ActiveX controls, not compatible with a protected form.
I'm thinking you should be getting a macro warning or some other message
that you have to answer before opening such a document. In any case, you can
remove the form protection by using Insert | File to insert the form into a
fresh blank document.

Thanks Suzanne,

I didn't get any kind of warning. What I did in the end was change th
documents security level to low, saved it, closed it down and reopene
it. It then allowed me to take the lock off.

At least now I know I can't lock it if I have an ActiveX control.

Thanks

Trac
