I am using Word 2007. The document I am creating will use forms where users
will only be able to edit the form controls that I've added to the document,
such as those where they can type text and select checkboxes. I've added text
controls for the "company name" and a "product serial number" to the header
so that users can fill out this information. However, when I protect the
document so that users can only fill in the forms that are in the document
and no other text, it appears as though they do not have access to the header
area so that they cannot type the company name or product serial number. How
can I make it so that the form fields in the header of the protected document
are editable?
