unlocking row height?

J

J Garrison

All my files seem to default to a row height that will
comfortable fit 4 lines of information. I have tried
grabbing the bottom line of the row and dragging up to
revise the height but it doesn't move. Also tried "Select
All" button and moving the bottom of the line up to no
avail.
What am I mising here?

Thx

Hi J,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

The row height adjustment can only be done by clicking and draging the row
line within the grey ID column. Hover the mouse cursor over the row line
until it turns into an up/down arrow, then click and drag. Depending on the
version of Project you are using, you may have to click the All button (the
ID heading) before adjusting the row heights, as later versions allow
individual row adjustments. Be advised that the minimum row height is
governed not only by the font size, but also by the bar height set in
Format/Layout.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))

Hello JG,

Haven't you any information at the top orand at the bottom of the tasks bars
?
Look at : Format / Bar Styles... /
Select a bar (blue or red) and click the Text tab, look at Top and Bottom.
Isn't there any field displayed there ?

Hope this helps,

Gérard Ducouret
