Unmatched query wizard will not display field lists

This is driving me crazy - my unmatched query wizard will not display
field names for any tables I choose. All my other query wizards work
properly. I am running Access 2003. I have tried using both 2003 and
2000 formats. It's not my access databases because the wizard works
correctly over the network using other people's Access software. It is
with every Access mdb database I have tried. I have checked every
setting imaginable but don't see anything I can do to make this work. It
is driving me crazy! (And, yes, I do know how to do this manually, but
now I'm on a mission to get it working!).

Thanks in advance,
Sharon

I haven't seen what you're describing, but I have heard recently of issues
connected with using Access 2003 after applying the SP3. Any chance your PC
has SP3 installed on your copy of Access?

In addition to your post here, have you tried searching on-line?

Yes! I have posted to numerous newsgroups and searched all over
on-line. Usually I am pretty good with finding answers but, this time,
I've only come across 2 similar situations, one person had something
like that happen a while ago and had to something to do with ADO in the
registry (but that was all the info I got) and the other person had
installed some sort of widget which messed him up. He doesn't remember
what exactly he installed, but remembered he had a hard time
uninstalling it and had to do some manual clean up with his registry to
fix the problem.

With Access shut down, put the following in the Start, Run window and see if
this fixes it. It will reregister the wizard. Make sure that you put in the
right path to the file.

regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\acwztool.mde"

Make sure that you have the correct path. Read more about it at:

that wasn't it either. Oh well, thanks for trying to help me. Guess
I'm just going to have to live with it.
