Unopened Items Notification in Outlook 2003

T

Tracey

Hi all,

I have a user using Outlook 2003 to connect to two IMAP accounts on our
non-Exchange email server. He feels he has a problem with his "You
have new unopened items" notification envelope in his system tray. If,
upon receiving that notification, he goes to the appropriate inbox and
opens ANY message, new or not, the notification goes away.

Whether a reasonable thing to want or not, he wants that notification
to stay in his system tray as long as there are unread messages in
either of his inboxes. Is this unreasonable? Does anybody know a way
I can get him what he wants here?

Thanks,
Tracey

No, you can't. Once you mark an item as read or press CTRL+ENTER while
having a message selected the notification goed away.
