I'm running Word 97 under Win 98, and I'm having trouble inserting
equations with MS Equation 3.0. For some reason MS Equation doesn't appear
as an option under the Insert>Objects dialog box, even though I was
successfully using it before I re-installed Windows a few months ago.
This headache also happened to me when I first installed Word 97 before my
system re-install, although it quickly fixed itself that time, as I tried
various ideas to repair it.
Has this happened to anybody else, and does anybody have any idea what is
causing it? And why does it only happen the first time I try to use MS
Equation after a fresh install? Is there a trick I need to know to
activate that feature, or is there software well known to interact badly
with it?
