unread material in views - Groove 3.1

I have noticed in a number of forms that there is a column which hold the
icons when new items are posted. How do you get this column to appear in a
view.

Hi -

Open the designer, and select your view.
Click the Options tab, and check the box marked "Show unread marks",
near the top of the tab.

Is there a way though that the "unread marked" ones can be brought up by
themselves in a view? For example, if I mark my "priority" items as unread,
it would be nice if I could click on a view and have ONLY those marked as
unread show up.

No, there is no option to have a view only show unread records.
