Unreadable Boxes - Missing Text

Has anyone ever had any problems with Microsoft Word documents filling
with unreadable boxes and all of the text disappearing? My journals
are now unreadable. When I open some of the documents the pages are
filled with annoying boxes. Nothing is readable.

Any help would be welcomed.

This may be either a simple file corruption - or more significantly, the
result of a virus. Make sure that your virus scanner is absolutely up to
date (with today's virus definitions) and scan your system.
