accidently closed my latest document without saving it. Is there any way of restoring it or finding it within the computer??

No. You didn't save, so there is nothing to restore or find.

Learn to "Save" before you begin typing. Once the document has a file name
(even if it is blank) then AutoRecover can work. But not until.

Also: Switch on "Always make backup" in Word's preferences. That protects
you from accidental editing as well as deletions
