Unspecified Delivery Error

We have a Groove workspace that is sending out an Unspecified delivery error
several times a day to the members of that workspace. Exact message is:

Delivering "xxx" on behalf of "John Smith": Unspecified delivery error

Has anyone seen this issue or know what may be causing it? We deleted the
workspace from everyone's system and re-invited but the error persists.

From the "on behalf of" I would guess that there is a non-Groove user
involved. If you have the old Project tool, this could be a project member
who is notified by email. (We also use that phrase for Sharepoint users, but
I can't imagine what would be being sent in that case.)

If possible, figure out what is not getting delievered and why. I don't know
enough about your workspace to make concrete suggestions, but in the case of
a Project tool, you would look for custom resources that might match the
error message, and then correct the contact information for that resource or
delete it from the workspace.

After that, a quick possible solution would be to shut down Groove, run
Grooveclean (with no options) to delete temporary data, and then restart
Groove. It might not work, but it's easy to try.

The surest workaround would be a variation on what you've already done:
1. A workspace manager saves the workspace as an archive.
2. Everyone deletes their copy again, and then shuts down and restarts
Groove.
3. The manager created a NEW workspace from the archive and invites everyone
to it.

Not that if the error notification is caused by something like a status
message sent by the workspace, and you do not eliminate the cause, the error
may reoccur.

First thing we tried was to have everyone delete the workspace from their
system and restore it and add everyone back but the error continued. I'll
look into the Project Tool this week to see if that helps.
