Unstable Fonts in a "Forms" Document

I've developed several Forms documents that enable me to enter
information in one section and have it automatically copy this
information to another section. For example, I'll type a person's
name at the top of the form and Word will automatically insert the
name at various points in the document that follows.

The problem is that the copied information is often converted to a
different FONT than the original. For example, my entire document
will be in Arial 11 point type, but the text at the insertion points
will be Times New Roman 12 or Courier 12, etc. This is not even
consistent, as SOME of the inserted text will be in the correct font
and others will not.

I've tried a bunch of things to fix this, but I've had no luck.
Instead, I've just been selecting all text and changing the font when
I'm finished with the document. This is not a life-or-death
issue...it's just annoying and I'd love a simple solution. Please
keep in mind that, while I am a highly experienced computer user, I am
not schooled in techno talk. A dummy-oriented step-by-step fix would
be greatly appreciated.

If you are using REF fields to reproduce the field content, Press ALT+F9
(form unlocked) to display the field structure, and add a charformat switch
thus

{REF "Text1" \*Charformat}. Then format the field as you want it to appear
and relock the form.

Thanks, Graham...but as I said, techno talk does not do it for me. I
really can't follow what you're saying.

I think I fixed the problem anyway, just by setting the original font
in the document as the "default" font. Seems to be working so far!
