Unstable Outlook 6

I am getting rather frustrated with Outlook Express. I am running XP Pro, and Outlook Express 6. I am using a new Dell PC too and all the updates installed.

Outlook Express keeps crashing. The message that appears says:

Outlook Express has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.

etc...

AppName: msimn.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1123 ModName: shlwapi.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2800.1400 Offset: 00026ca6
----------

If anybody has any suggestions, it would be most appreciated!

I'm not sure but if you have all updates installed I believe you should have
a newer version of shlwapi.dll

Better ask again in an Internet Explorer or OE newsgroup as this is an
Microsoft Office Outlook forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.

I'm not sure but if you have all updates installed I believe you should have
a newer version of shlwapi.dll
