unsubmitted timesheet never submitted

Daryl

HI all

I can't seem to get an of our staff's timesheet reminders to go away! Here is what is happening
- staff see reminder to submit timeshhet for a perio
- they enter time for the days they worked on for each day for the wee
- hit updat
- resource manger approved i
- PM approved i
- the unsubmitted timesheet reminder still shows up!!

In the timesheet summary view - I see that the status is (mixed). It seems like it is mixed because there are items in the summary that were not charged to (they have 0 hours) - some are actual project tasks, some are admin tasks - all with zero hours. There is no update available for the managers of these 0 hour tasks so they can never be approved as 0 hours (which I hope they would not have to do anway)

Is there any way to force the timesheet to be "Submitted"? Is there some setting that I have to change? We want to manage the time periods but we can't keep going like this, obviously

Everyone is still getting a reminder for every week that we had server up!!!! Please help

Dary

You need to open an incident with Microsoft support, and then will be able
to download the patch to fix this problem. Hope this helps.

In other postings I have read regarding this issue, Microsoft's hotfix 830820 has been referenced. Most of these other posts indicated results that were less than their expectations. Is this a viable fix for this bug? On Microsofts support page at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;830820 they indicate that this fix will be incorporated into the next service pack but I have not found any indication of when that will be released. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Those who posted the issues regarding this hotfix indicated they still had lingering problems with this 'submitted message' after they had used the patch. That coupled with Microsoft's recommendation of waiting for the next service pack release made me wonder two things: Are they revising the patch from a Beta version and when will the service pack be released? Thanks ...

I guess the complaints didn't register with me. I guess you'll need to
decide if you can continue without the patch and wait for SP1. Of course,
you'll then be stuck wondering whether to apply the post SP1 hotfixes as
they arrive or wait for SP2
