Unsuficient memory ... with Excel

I am working with MS Excel 8.0 for Macintosh, with an iMAC DV 400
with 382 MB of memory. My file as 8MB and the memoty allocated for
Excel is 40MB, more than enough.

I want to insert a column is the speadsheet and when trying to do that
Excel tells me that memory is unsufficient ?? What could be the
problem ???

Hi,

I'm not entirely sure of the circumstances that caused the error message. I
did a search using the information you posted and found many possibilities.
