I receive emails that state the following message.
This message uses a character set that is not supported by the Internet
Service. To view the original message content, open the attached message.
If the text doesn't display correctly, save the attachment to disk, and then
open it using a viewer that can display the original character set.
After looking on the internet for an answer everyone seems to point their
fingers at the ISP, Exchange servers, etc., which I know to be incorrect
because I saved the email on my desktop and make a copy naming the file with
a .EML extension. Open the .MSG (Outlook 2003) I get the error ... open the
..EML (Outlook Express) it opens perfectly.
I am installing the latest updates for Office but do not hold out much hope
that this will fix the problem.
Looking through the settings in Outlook I can find where to set the
character sets of outgoing emails, but there's nothing about the character
sets for incoming.
I hope that someone can help....
