Start and Finish are single dates representing the current
estimates (or reflecting actuals), depending on the
completion state of the task. There are a couple of ways
I can think of to display a range of dates without trying
to directly manipulate the official Start and Finish (as
others have said, not usually recommended). You could use
the "PERT" fields included in Project called Early Start,
Early Finish, Late Start and Late Finish, entering the
dates you consider representative of the range. Or, you
could use multiple custom date fields that calculate a
date range based on whatever is in Start or Finish at any
given time, then create a table that displays those
dates. If I understand what you want to do correctly, I
would probably use the custom fields, since I find them
easier and more flexible to work with.
