unusual excel import

I have an excel spreadsheet that has 15 or so fields that
i can import without a problem. However the spreadsheet
has a heading at the top with various info about the
order. Is there a way to have the heading be imported as
an additional field in the spreadsheet? any help is
greatly appreciated as always. thanks and have a great

Not easily.
When you use the Import wizard you have to obey the rules.
Tabular data with field names in the first row.

You can automate Excel and do anything you want but it is quite a bit
harder.
Guess it depends on how bad you want that data!

I suggest you get the user to conform to some basic rules and use the
wizard.
