I develop tools in Access to help my department be more efficient in our
Audit processes. I have two particular database which have recently become a
concern. They both use OutputTo to create .rtf's of letters. Due to the
mail merge type nature of these letters, it's necessary for some of the lines
within a paragraph to be a separate Label or Text box (rather than a label
which contains an entire paragraph). We recently noticed that some of the
words are being truncated from the ends of lines on the .rtf documents.
What's confusing is that, using the same tools, an .rtf that will look normal
when generated on my computer will have words truncated from the letter on a
co-worker's computer. A member of our desktop support team has reviewed the
settings for Access and the printers and print drivers for both
computers...and has found no apparent differences. What makes this even more
difficult to troubleshoot is that letters from Tool A look normal on my
computer but have words truncated on a computer that letters from Tool B look
notmal on, but letters from Tool B have words truncated when generated on my
computer. WEIRD??
Does anyone have ANY idea what might be causing this? Yes, I know I can
just increase the width of the text boxes; but I'd rather not have to
reformat 50+ letters in these tools when only some people are having the
issue.
