Unusual mouse cursor

This is a minor problem, perhaps with an easy solution.

Word 2003.

In one of my documents, the mouse cursor has changed to a "midgit cursor" in
the print layout view. Appears to be about half the height of the normal
vertical line cursor. I don't know what caused this, and I don't know how to
return it to its normal height. The document itself otherwise appears
normal. The cursor appears normally in the normal view, and in other
documents.

I appreciate the help.

Actually, the mouse cursor is OK, it is the blinking mark that indicates the
insertion point. That is what has changed.

Well, I just closed Word entirely, and reopened it. The insertion point
marker is now back to normal. But, I am curious about what happened just
now.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jim
