unwanted attachments

When I send an email, an unknown .wmz file is attached automatically during
sending. How can I stop this happening? I have already located and deleted
normal.dot and email.dot files, with no effect.

Do you have a default signature? Disable it and try again. There might be
some formatting in it that causes this.
