unwanted auto-insertion of black squares

Karen Lipkow

Hi,

This should be an easy question:
Since I've re-installed Word, there is a small black square to the left
of every heading. How do I get rid of those ?

Many thanks in advance,
Karen

Sorry for the stupid question, I just found the answer by myself.

Hi Karen:

It wasn't a stupid question. For anyone else who needs the answer, the
small black square means that this paragraph has Pagination Controls
applied.

You would expect this in Heading styles: they should always have "Keep with
next" and "Keep lines together" applied in their style.

Cheers
