Unwanted Automatic update of data

When I open a form with an embedded subform (filtered view) the data appears to be correct. When I close the form and re-open a single record (usually record 12 in the default table) has a field which changes.

Why does this happen? Can you help resolve this as its driving me insane!!

Not having more information about what is changing, I can only surmise that
you have code which is changing the value. Perhaps, if you could give us
more information, we could come up with a better answer.
