Unwanted bookmarks in MS Word

Somehow bookmarks are being inserted into my MS Word files. Gobs of
them! They have names such as OLE_Linkn, where n is an integer. I
think they're somehow associated with my using command-v.

Does anyone know what's happening? I'm running OS 10.3.2 and MS Word
X.
