Unwanted bullets in Outlook

I posted this in the MS Office NewsGroup, but since no one has replied, I
found this group, and perhaps that's where I should have posted:

Inquiring for a friend who has WinXP and Office 2003 Outlook, which she uses
for her e-mail. She said that today when she sends e-mails, bullets (that
she doesn't want) are appearing. Does anyone one know how she can fix this
problem? Thanks

Where is she seeing the bullets? Are they real bullets (at the beginning of
each line) or just dots within the text? Do the recipients see them?

I think she meant real bullets at the beginning of lines, and no, the
recipients didn't see them (at least I didn't). However, this morning she
e-mailed me that when she turned on the computer today, the bullets weren't
there!

I suppose its good that it was just something goofy that a reboot fixed
because I can't think of anything that might cause the appearance of bullets
without also seeing dots and the paragraph mark. (Ctrl+Shift+8 to toggle
them.) If it happens again and she uses word as the editor, have her look
at the tools, options dialog of an open message - one of the tabs has a list
of things besides 'show all' that you can show or hide. It's possible one of
those things got turned on.

Thanks, Diane, I've sent this information on to her.
