We use Outlook 2003 with the HTML mail message format.
In the situation where a person replies or forwards an email and edits a
word in the existing text of the email, Outlook will insert an extra
character space e.g.,
Original text: I will sen you the document.
Edited text: I will sen d you the document
In this example, when the person inserts a "d" at the end of the misspelled
word "sen", it leaves a space between the n and the d.
I realize that this is likely a built in feature in Outlook, but one of our
users is frustrated and wants to know if there is any work around.
Note: We do not want to have to save it in a different message format e.g.,
RTF or Plain Text.
