Unwanted dialogue box

Hi all

I have a Hyperlink in an Excel worksheet, that opens an application.
When I click on it, a warning dialogue box appears to ask me if I wish
to open/run the file/application.
Well of course I do! I designed the ruddy spreadsheet didn't I?
I think I know that if I click on something that *I* put there that it
does not contain a virus!

Is there any way to turn off this annoying warning?

Toolls, Macros, Security, Security Level (tab), Medium

is what I have mine set to.

Excel 2002 on "medium" still gives the warning and allows user to decide.

"High" wil not open any workbook containing a macro without a signed
certificate from a trusted source. Automatically disables macros if not
signed.

"Low" will allow any workbook with macros to open without a warning.

You can use the SelfCert tool to create certificates for your own use.

Thanks for the responses, although my question still remains
unanswered.
I do not wish to run a macro.
I wish to open an application via a link, but I get an annoying
dialogue box waning me of potential viruses etc..

It is this warning I want to get rid of, not the enable/disable macros
on opening a workbook.

You mean like the warning I get if I attempt to open a file attachment in this
News Group?

Sorry. Don't know how to suppress that. Probably Windows settings.
