unwanted e-mails

We are recieving 3 to 4 e-mails per day that are not always in english and
usually have a weird named sender, They are filthy verging on pornographic
and have attachments. We've never opened any of the attachments and I dread
to think what's on them. They are all from different addresses but the same
sort of content, how can we stop them and where are they stored after
deleting, I ask because my children use the computer and I'm worried that
pictures from the attachments might be stored somewhere on the computer.
Thanks

Until you open or save the attachments, they are not stored anywhere but in
your PST file, and therefore are only available through Outlook.

Thanks very much for your help.
My kids have their own user accounts and outlook express but with their own
e-mail addresses, does this mean they won't have access to the unwanted mail?
Also, do you have any idea how or why this is happening, is it some sort of
malicious prank that someone has registered our e-mail address for or is it
like a virus from some site that was visited.
Thanks again
