Whaen I type essays (I'm a fourth year Legal Student with excellent grades
about to begin Law School shortly), I sometimes end up with strange
formatting that I cannot control. For instance, I've set the "Normal"
template to be my main go-to formatting application. But as I type,
everything will be going well and then, all of a suddden, for no reason
whatsoever, my regularly spaced text begains to appear as though I had
clicked "Tab" between every word!
An example would look like this:
I believe that the statutory law is, in many cases merely a written
codification of the old common law handed down through the ages ever since
William the Conquerer invaded, and successfully took the British Isles for
the Normans.
William the Conquerer is characterized as a brute in the
eyes of history, but even though history is
said to be written by the victors, William
the Conquerer doesn't seem to be much beloved
by the citizenry of England.

-----That is my problem. I have read everything listed in the Microsoft help
pages. The help section said to go to the Home tab and click on the character
spacing tab, which is a very small arrow in the bottom right corner of the
font section underneath where the color selection for fonts is located and
check the box for "kerning" to adjest the spacing of my text.
This did NOTHING whatsoever!
PLEASE. If anyone knows how I can fix this problem please share your
knowledge with me so that I may write my papers without losing points for
something that is truly out of my control. The problem is due to a software
malfunction.
Thank you ahead of time for your kind gesture in trying to help me in this
most desperate situation,
Sincerely,
