Unwanted hyperlinks

I have a name/address list which includes eaddresses

It requires considerable dexterity to add/make changes to the eaddresses
without calling OE

Try as I may I cannot see where to set the default so eaddresses are NOT
automatically turned into hyperlinks - deleting the Hyperlink format does
not seem to do it and changing the column to Normal style is no good

Please help me default XL so hyperlinking of eaddresses does not happen
unless I deliberately set up a hyperlink to OE
