Unwanted indentation

Dear Sirs,
When writing text in Word, the first sentence on a new page is automatically
indented even though it is not starting a new paragraph and I cannot bring
the sentence out to the margin.

Well Gerald, we need to get a clearer fix on what the problem is as Word
doesn't allow for indentation in the midst of a paragraph. Indentation is a
paragraph formatting attribute, so you can have First Line Only, Left (all
lines), Right (all lines) or Hanging (all but the first line).

What version of Word & Mac OS are involved?

How is the "next page" being generated - continuous typing or some other
form of causing a page break?

Is this in one specific doc, all new docs, certain existing docs...?

Any additional details about how you're going about creating the doc would
be helpful.
