Unwanted line breaks

Hi,
In OneNote 2003, whenever I paste text from the web, where there are mark-ups in the text - say, due to links or formatting - Onenote introduces a spurious line break. Cleaning up can be daunting on a large piece of text. There must be some way to stop this behavior, because it is a major bug.
