Unwanted lines

Geoff

I have some unwanted lines - a broad and narrow together - which I can't get
rid of.

I have imported some text from a document being used by a third person.

The unwanted lines are border formatting. Since they are appearing as lines,
that means they are attached either to the paragraph that occurs immediately
before them or after them. Click in the paragraph right before them, then
set the borders dropdown tool to No Borders. If the don't disappear, then
click in the paragraph right after them and do the same.

The borders tool is in the Home tab (Paragraph chunk), if this is Word 2007.
If this is Word 2003 or earlier, try Format - Borders and Shading (I
think--don't have Word 2003 anymore).

those are HTML, you can get rid of anything.
For example have you click on that line, then immediately right-click and
from context menu select "delete" or "cut", or something to that effect?
Have you tried "read all messages in Plain Text" under
Winmail -->Tools-->Options-->General or Read; or somethign similar?
