unwanted outlook 2007 personal folder cannot be openedremoved/dele

I carried a clean install of office 2007 on a vista machine without problem.
I then made the mistake of not removing Office 2000 from my XP laptop before
installing 2007. I must have a made boob somewhere!

Having now carried out a restore and reinstall all works fine, except that
as well as my correct personal folders there is another personal folder which
cannot be opened/removed/deleted. If I try I get the create new profile
message. I suspect that that the folder is linked to an email account that
no longer exists.

I've done all the new profile options, scans & diagnostics but the folder
remains.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it please, It spoils Office 2007.
