Hi Rob,
Bitmapped graphics are made up of pixels, but
pixels (Picture Elements) have no finite size.
Some graphic formats (such as jpg) can include in the graphic
the pixels per inch PPI setting used for a graphic.
Some (such as GIF) cannot.
When the graphic includes the PPI information in them
Word uses it during Insert=>Picture=>From File operations.
When the graphic does not, Word uses the information in
Tools=>Options=>General=>Web Options=>Pictures=>Pixels per Inch.
to size the graphic.
=======
Word 2002 considerably reduces the size of pictures
inserted from files. How do I keep the original
measurements?
Thanks for your answer,
Rob >>
