I use Office professional 2003 - When you use the Office Update, which
searchs for updates, how do you know you installed all the current updates? I
ask this because, after it shows me that that are no updates to install, if I
go to the screen that shows a list current of updates available i.e., add
ons, plug ins, etc., for my Office product - it makes me wonder if I need to
install them or if they are already installed.

I'm puzzled - help!

Hi Clay,

The suggested updates from either
http://officeupdate.com or http://update.microsoft.com
are generally 'fixes' for the content of your original
Product CD.

The add-ins, templates, graphics, 3rd party enhancements, et al
from http://office.microsoft.com/downloads are optional additional
or modified features from Microsoft or other companies that may
be useful to you.
