Uotlook 2007 not sending email unless it is opened.

Hi,

I recently installed office 2007 which includes outlook 2007. Outlook is
using an exchange mailbox.

emails wont send unless outlook is opened first. for example in internet
explorer when i click send link by email or send page by email and click send
the email does not send untill i open outlook. This happens when i click on
documents on my desktop as well. or right click and select "send to mail
recipient".

So no emails are sent unless outlook is opened.

I did not have this issue with outlook 2003.

Is there some setting that i should be checking in outlook?

Thanks,

Bill.

Thats the default behaviour for Outlook.
Of course if the GUI was closed but Outlook was still a running process,
then the mail would be sent.
