Up and down arrow symbol

Hello,
I would like to add an up or down arrow symbol while typing in a cell.
I would like to be able to use the 'option key' to insert an arrow
symbol.

1. I can add an up or down arrow symbol using 'add objects', but this
takes time and is not apart of the cell text.

2. I can add an up or down arrow symbol using 'Wingdings 3' font, but
then the cell is 'Wingdings 3' font which is no help.

3. Can I add the up or down arrow symbol to the geneva font.

Thank you,

If using Office 2004 try the OS X Character Palette. (Look it up in Mac Help
if not familiar with the feature - you can add it to the menu bar for ready
accessibility.) You should be able to find the glyph you want in most any of
the Unicode fonts. I doubt Geneva contains it because that is an very old &
seldom used font with a very limited character set.

Bob,
Thank you. Not what I wanted to hear, but know I know what I can not
do.

David,
You can format different characters in a cell individually. So, you
can type the cell contents, inserting the appropriate option key combo
for the arrow. Then, select that character and Wingding the font.
Takes a little time, but now the symbol stays where you want it to!
