"Update All" in PWA not working well

I have just migrated project server 2003 to a new server. After it is done,
users experience problems with the "Update All" feature in their PWA. It
takes a long time to process and is unable to complete updates successfully.
If the user selects only updated rows and click on "Update Selected Rows",
there is no issue. Any idea what may be the issue? Thanks in advance
