Update All Labels help needed

Rick

Hi:
I would like to put a command button on the mail merge
toolbar that, when clicked, does the equivalent of
clicking the "Update All Labels" button that is found in
the Mail Merge Wizard (I'm using Office 2002). So if a
user changes the layout of the first label, they click
this icon or button or whatever and all of the other
labels are formatted the same way. I did not find this
command listed as an option in the toolbar/Menu customize
section. Thanks for any help.

Hi Rick,

From the View menu, select Toolbars and then select the Mail Merge item.
That will display a Mail Merge toolbar that contains the "Propogate Labels"
button. If you then Right Click in the toolbar area and select customize,
and then hold down the Control Key and Left Click and Drag that button, you
can add it to the standard toolbar. The button however is only activated
while a label type mail merge main document is the active document, so you
might just as well leave it on the Mail Merge toolbar, and use that toolbar
rather than the Wizard.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

Ok, I feel stupid. It was right under my nose all
along. Yes, that's the icon I've been looking for,
thanks.
