Update cannot find a cab file off my Office CD during Update

STEVE G.

I am trying to perform my 1st Office (Small Office Edition 2003) Update.
During Office Update, MS asks to find SKU112.CAB from my purchased CDROM. It
can not find the file. I then decided to create a Folder in C drive and
place the entire CDROM there hoping that would work (not that it should make
a difference). That also failed. Any suggestions? I would like to Update
since I legimately purchased the software!

Hi, Steve G.,

SKU112.CAB is on the Office 2003 Standard CD. I suspect that you may have
more than one Office 2003 suite product installed. Check the Windows
Add/Remove Programs to see what Office 2003 products are installed.
Uninstall the unnecessary one, and that should resolve the issue.

Susan,
i read your suggestion to steve reg sku112.cab.
I have the following problem:
I installed the office 2003 pro version (FRENCH) on a new Packard Bell PC I
bought in GERMANY with already installed german home office trial version.

- when opening the office app i.e word or excel, it says sku112. is missing,
it can't find it neither on the cd (as the original Cd is part of a 10
Licenses agreement, I made a copy of it, when my French employer sent me to
Germany to build ops there (can the copy be The Problem?)
- I deleted the German Office trial version on the PC
- I can't find the Office elements on the PC installation disk (part of a a
packard bell CD)

Would it be possible to take the sku112.cab file from the German home trial
version (if I manage to find it) and put it (where) in the french office pro
2003 version?

Thank you for your help
