I have a form with a text box - I would like to obtain
user input to update a field in a table( for all the
records)-All the records will have same values for the
field.

How do I do that ?
Any help is highly appreciated

You would seldom want to update a field to the same value in >all< the
records in a properly designed database. This suggests a problem with your
database structure. What is the purpose of that table, what are the fields
in it, & what is its primary key?

If you don't know what is a "primary key", you have lots of reading to do!

Thanks for your unrelated rude reply. But my question was
on updating the field from the form entry.

I'll leave it to others to make a judgement here.

I have posted over 5,000 answers to Access newsgroups over the past 10
years.

You have posted about 120 times - many of which were probably questions.

Readers can easily killfile me, & hilite you, in their newsreaders, if
that's what they want.
